Here is a mega translation patch which does more than just translate the menus.

Expect bios and dialogue to be in English too. It works for both Chinese and Japanese versions.

Sadly the rtk11 torrent (http://www.hongfire.com/forum/showpost.php?p=737637&postcount=9) has no seeds so I can't say how it is from a personal experience. For those lucky to have it, enjoy.

I do like to make a recommendation though base on the picture. I think using Str(Strength) would be more appropriate than war, coz I think ppl might mix it up with leadership since both attributes are for battle.

Wow, that's great alte. Does it have the PUK with it? That's what the patch is for. There is a patch for normal rtk11 but that is half-baked and no-where near the level of this one.

PUK version is the "Power-Up Kit".

Think of it as an expansion pack that adds a few extra features and new difficulty level (because Koei can't make AI for the life of them)

Puk is Expansion pack + build-in cheat. It's around 574mb.

This patch is for translatate game in japanese or traditional chinese to English. And it's working without crash.

It's quit bad at gramma(Who's care?), vocabulary. because developer's mostly use computer to translated ,only few are manual translated. How ever it's still far better than pure japan for those who can't read them.

It's very impressive , they trasnlated all bios.

Hi all, I got a few questions to ask regarding the rapidshare links to ROTK XI.

I finished downloading all 15 of them earlier today, after a grueling 1 week. Anyway, here are my questions.

Are the ROTK XI for PC or the Playstation 2 version?

What am I supposed to do after I finished downloading them? I mean, all fifteen files are in RAR format. I unrar the file r0m4nc3_0f_th3_thr33_k1ngd0m5_XI.part01 (98,078 KB), then it produced another RAR file r0m4nc3 0f th3 thr33 k1ngd0m5 (1,868,512 KB).

Am I supposed to unRAR all fifteen files, and then unRAR the unRAR-ed fifteen files? Example: xyzpart01.rar >> unRAR >> xyzpart01_01.rar >> unRAR >> MOVIERES/SAN11RES/SLUS_215.84/SYSTEM.

Do I have to this for the remaining 14 files? Because after unRAR-ing the first file, I got 1.8 GB, that means for 14 files it would be 14 multiply 1.8 GB = 25.2 GB, plus the last file, which is 6,438 KB.

If this is the Playstation 2 version, that means I can only play/open the downloaded files with PCSX2 program, right? Thx b4hand!

Note #1: I am still downloading at ROTK part 4 out of the 6 (six) files above. I haven't download the PUK version. In short, I haven't install and test-run this. But I hope the links above are the correct links to the PC version of ROTK XI.
Note #2: If you want to download the patch translation, try the kongming.net forum, they have 3 patches available if I ain't mistaken (Japanese to English; Chinese to English; Japanese PUK to English).
Note #3: From what I understand, prior to installing the PUK Japanese patch, you have to install ROTK XI update first. In short, install the original (step 1), install the update (step 2), install the PUK (step 3), install the Japanese/Chinese translation to English (step 3).

Thus, my conclusion is that the above are steps to download/install/play the playable ROTK XI ported from PC (Japanese or Chinese version) to PC (English version). Or, Japanese/Chinese ROTK XI for PC >> English PC.

The steps to install the above would be simple. Install Original (Step 1) >> Install Japanese Update (Step 2; optional; only if you want to play the PUK version) >> Install the PUK patch/add-on (Step 3) >> Install the English translation patch (last step). If you don't wanna play the PUK version, you can skip Step 2 & Step 3, or you can simply skip Step 3.

On the other hand, the 15 rapidshare links posted in this thread's previous page/s has a total size of 1.38 GB or 1,379,530 KB. These 15 rapidshare links turned out to be the ported Playstation 2 (North American version?) version of ROTK XI, or the Playstation 2 ported version (in English) made playable on PC (English). The first part of the fifteen files is:

I downloaded the 6 part one and installed and also can't get it to work. like a few other people who've posted on this thread, i used to have the rotk11 from demonoid, and if my memory serves there were two different .exes. one for the regular version and one for the puk. so my guess that this 6 part thing is just the puk and the error message that comes up when you try to play it is telling you that you need to install the regular version. could be wrong of course cause i don't read chinese, but yeah that's my take on this whole situation. I hope a proper version of this surfaces some time soon cause i am fiending for some rotk.

next i failed again... then i dloaded alcohol 120% and opened it... i opened the MDS file, it says 0 KBS, im like WTF!! I give up.. screw this...

Then I accidently right clicked the MDK file and it said Mount File, and I clicked it... and then installation began... try using google on how to mount MDS and MDK files...hope this helps

yo, sorry i was out of town. all i did was mount the image with deamon tools 4.12.1.0. as for the crack, it unrared fine for me. don't know why it's corrupted for ya'll or why it was so easy to get running for me. got lucky i guess. been playing with sun jian during the dong zhou alliance thing. fun as hell.

i don't think you need the crack, the translation has it's own exe. cao shang san11pk.exe. i'm pretty sure it's a crack itself, but don't know for sure. to unrar it i just used winrar.

downloaded this sangokushi 11(romance of the three kingdoms in japanese) torrent http://www.slotorrent.net/tor_a27381...3245685c6.html and the 6 part rapidshare puk file. then the translation patch. mounted the SAN11INSTALL.mdf image with deamon tools and installed game. I chose the first chinese language setting. i'm not sure if makes a difference which you choose, but it might cause the puk is japanese. i'd suggest going with japanese. a box popped up halfway through and i mounted the SAN11GAME.mdf and clicked ok. can't remember whether or not i extracted the nocd patch, but i'm pretty sure you don't need to because you're gonna be playing the puk if you want to use the better translation. next i unrared the six part RTK11 rar. ran san11jp_pk.exe selected my san11 directory and installed the puk. after that i extracted the patch to the directory. used the cao shang san11pk.exe, and that's it. i'm gonna reinstall it and see if selecting japanese makes the patch better.

Edit: It's the puk that you can select the language, so i'm not too sure which will work better, cause i don't know what language the game is in.

3. install...(default directory----> c:\program files\koei\san 11\)
3. mount game.mds
4. continue installing
5. run no-cd crack (doubt it does anything)
6. mount sanPUK.iso
7. install PUK (in the same directory as san 11)
8. copy no cd crack (doubt it does anything either)
9. extract translation patch
10. copy everything into san 11 directory (overwrite everything)
11. run the game with coa sang san11pk.exe

sorry i don't get it.
i already download all 6 part then i unrar it, then i install the RTK11. after that i already download japanese/chinese to english patch cao shuang (i think that's a name or what?) then i download a torrent (i forgot where i download from) then i only get a file with extension .torrent. i dont know what todo after that.
when i download an english patch from kongming. it's says need a CD.
i don't know what to do anymore with that torrent file.

I've been reading a lot of places that the game has been delayed until September? I got this from the koei forums, and gamespot forums. Although the EU version is delayed until September, the NA version is not known. I'll wait a couple days I guess, thanks.

Damn, the impatience I'm feeling already probably doesn't amount to yours lol. There really hasn't been any word from Koei NA. Koei UK has confirmed that it's ROTK11 will be delayed until September, but there are a lot of games that get released here and then later in EU. So hopefully, assuming that because Koei NA hasn't announced any delays, it will come out at the end of July.

EDIT: I just went to the Koei forums and found this, posted July 25th.

Romance of the Three Kingdoms XI for Windows-based PC will now be released in North America on September 9, 2008 exclusively through digital download on Direct2Drive and Trygames.

I sincerely apologize for the delay and any inconvenience that this may have caused.

Not sure if you can get it without first registering at their forums, but thats the source. I did install that 6 part rapidshare ROTK, but when I clicked the icon, only one button was "clickable" to me, which directed me to a Chinese website, saying something about registering. Other than that I could click exit.

Well I dled the file with the puk and Cao Shaung patch, but it doesnt seem to work. I mounted install disc, then game disc and it was fine. Finished the dl, unpackaged the puk and the I copy and pasted the no cd patch thing and the cao shaung patch but when I run the game it doesnt work. I had this file when I dled it though. It said _padding file if you see this file please update your bitcomet 0.85 or above. I have no clue what bitcomet is or what that means but I figure thats the problem. Can anyone help me out with this. Btw I used megaupload to dl the game.

o_O I thought the Cao Shang english patch was supposed to be the best.

The samples I saw at http://the-scholars.com/viewtopic.php?t=18674 seemed to show the translation was quite understandable.

But I just loaded the tutorials for the PUK, and I can't understand a single thing they're saying.


Edit: The regular officers had their names changed to roman letters with the english patch, but is it impossible to create custom officers with names containing roman letters? The okay button will grey out if I put roman letters in there.
