Naruto...... What can i say........... The Story is good. but the damn anime is totally runied by whoever direct or draw this anime. The drawing is BAD!!!! not to mention they are after money then quality. They just keep making those repeating reviews and junk talks to make the anime longer. Recently it has been abit better.

I hope they stop making those junk talks and put more action in. also try to draw the anime better. like put more effort in it.

i totally agree with you on that. i really loved the anime at first, but then it started to remind me of dragonball b/c they kept drawing out the fight scenes and repeated a lot of stuff they already showed. i mean, once in awhile is ok, but it takes 3 episodes to finish a small fight now and it's quite annoying.

as bad as that might sound, i still think naruto is really good. it has good animation, great action, the stories are touching, etc. :)

Indeed They kinda trying to follow the dragon ball foot steps trying to get more profits i guess. And Me too!! i love Full Metal Alchemist it's one of the best out there. the Story line is good. drawing is good also no junk talking. I like Full metal alchemist. :cool:

The anime is ok, the manga is great.

But I hate those bloody personal-insight-in-the-middle-of-a-deathmatch scenes, which always bore me to death.

What I really like are the well choreographed fights and the tactical intelligence used here. Sure, many fights and in the favor of the one with the bigger dick, like in every bad manga, but not always, which is gratifying.

Naruto is just another fighting anime. (Boring) Long speeches what fighting style another opponent is going to use. Just what i hate in fighting anime genre is that the hero is always some kid with a special powers and he is always the good guy. Best fighting anime is Hikaru no go! Its plot is just like naruto. I hope they are making Eyeshield 21 to anime, it would be better...

It's still not half as bad as what they did to episode 6? of Samurai 7... OMFG, they look like a bad Dr. Kats episode... WTF are they thinking when they switch animation studios halfway (or begining in S7) and or just make shitty anime quality?

Before i always fully watched the anime, but now i only need 10-13 min to watch it : i play it quick forward when there are useless speeches (i can even guess what they are talking about).

What do you think ? only 10-13 min worth watching means nearly half of the episode is danm useless and can be cut off.

Its not bad but not great at the same time. The animation is comparable to anything else out there right now. The whole drawn out and filler thing is gets to me. I blame the slowness on the fact that the show is fallowing the manga. I liked the pace of Naruto at the start. When it caught up with the manga it started to become boring. I like this anime. But personally I think the manga is better. One reason why the anime seems to take forever though is because they base each episode from two or three manga issues, rather than something like seven to ten like they did with DragonBall Z.

i think the anime is good, but the shows need to be a bit more organised. the reason the drawing aren't always good is that it has a lot of expextations, but not with a great amount of time. thats the reason y fillers are made and y the story is made longer with a part in the manga taking many eps on t.v. to be explained. thats common with most mainstream shows like prince of tennis and one piece, but naruto isn't doing as good a job as the others in terms of quality. also, i like the manga and i do believe in the saying that the book is always better than the movie, which pertains to this as the manga is usually more graphic and story-driven as authors work on their own time with a schedule that fits their needs, but i also believe that seeing is believing. what i mean is that lets say lotr is amazing as a book, but also good as a movie cuz any fan would want his imaginations come to life, thats y i have a preference for anime instead of manga.

Too much filler...and the whole saga with Orochimaru (sp?) and the Hokage dragged on FOREVER....reminded me so much of Namek saga in DBZ.

I like Naruto, And I know what you mean rockleefan, The fight between Goku and Frieze took like 15 episode's to finish, And when Naruto,Sasuke and Sakura were trying to complete Kakashi's training it seemed to take forever, But I like the way the storyline is, It's a fun anime all together.. :3

Naruto has changed over the many seasons it has been running and they have slowly started to decrease the filler time before the actual episode starts and have begun to show more content. The animation is pretty top notch and is nowhere near as bad as dbz's animation

When I started watching Naruto in the beginning, it was really cool and had me drawn in. But then they started dragging out fights, and then there's the flashback thing every ep almost. And sometimes they have a flashback of what happened just a minute ago, that drives me nuts....though I still watch the show :p I'm just wishing that it stick to the manga more, and pump up the action level.

The thing I hate about this series is the flash backs! In nearly every ep. they'res atleast 1 flash back which takes 5mins to get done. If they took those out we would still be in the 70s ep. I just watched 107 the other day and it does look like its finally getting back to the plot but honestly when is the plot going to go somewhere already?

Flashbacks may be okay if you if you watch it as a serial on TV. But watch it nonstop as a DVD, utter torture! Imagine watching a lengthy flashback of what you watch just a while ago, repeat this many times.
Its also too lengthy, IMHO a good length for an anime is between 20 to 40 episodes. Afterwards it just gets kinda repetitive and full of filler material

Yea. Naruto needs to cut down on the fillers and flashbacks. Some just don't make any real point.. oh well. I guess I'll make an evr's cut version once it's finished. Should be able to cut down the size a few gigs.. :p I just deleted the fillers from Prince of Tennis. Got rid of ~4 gigs in 26 episodes. A whole frigging season of crappy episodes.. :D

Too bad they killed Haku off so early in the series, a very interesting character in my opinion. Overall, the anime is quite interesting to watch and Naruto the ever so interesting lad.

i've been playing teh Naruto hero 2 game on ps2, and it shows so many Jutsus that the characters do in the anime, like sakura has this jutsu where she turns into a tree and traps the enemy in it then she beats the hell out of them, dont know if that was ever shown in the manga yet.

Thats pretty much right on. I loved the Haku/Zabuza arch, but it has not been the same since. I really hope we get another arch like that and this does not turn into another DBZ in its entirety.

I prefer the Manga to the anime. The animation seems to be lacking but what do you expect.For some reason it seems they talk more in the anime then in the manga. Also some of the extra story arches they added where pointless and boring, I didn't even bother watching it.I love most of themusic in naruto !!! So by attracting, do you mean like wushu? Ninjas all probably have their own styles. Besides, being ninja means that you have to be discrete about your techniques and not let the enemy figure out what you're doing until the last second.

Naruto's animation has severely degraded over the past few months. The animation
and choreography in the earlier episodes were showy and captivating. The most recent
episodes have been plagued by the lack of attention to details and trying to pass off
mediocre drawing, although the storyline is still following the manga's great storyline.
I think they might have slowed down the pace of the anime so that it doesn't catch
up to the manga too quickly. But on the other hand, they don't have enough time
to put the finishing touches to the animation.

The reason why it's slow is because the anime is catching up on the manga. So they need to put in some scenes to delay that from happening.
That's why sometimes i don't like manga to be converted into anime. An example is Mahou Sensei Negima. They skip like the ending of the first book and 4/5 of the second book.

I doubt it will. If the writers/artists for the anime follow the manga as they already do, then they'll put more filler, or make the battles alot longer, so that they won't.

For example, Temari' V Tenten in the Chuunin exam. Got 2-3 pages in the manga, but got almost a whole ep in anime.

i think a lot of people here misinterpret what the 'animastion' means...
Animation = the movements you see on screen (character, object or background movement). Animare (latin words) = to give life to.
Design is totally another field. So the character design can be crappy but still have a very good animation.

In my opinion, Studio Piero probably did that crap too push the animation quality on the climax sequence in later episode. They need to save some money to hire more animators to do the next great fight scene. IMO though... you're free to disagree.^_^

I think Naruto has some of the best action animations in japanese anime. I think it is mind-blowingly good. It even surpassed some of the OVA's and Movie's animation.

Naruto is interesting to watch but the constant flashbacks and drab pacing really puts a hamper in the show. It's like you want the show to get on with it and not cut to a previous scene about 5 episodes back.

Other than that, it's enjoyable.

You can add so much more detail in the Anime.
So if they stick to the Manga, it'll only restrict the story.

Kishimoto's plot has been going downhill anyway.
So I'm still waiting eagerly for them to throw Kishimoto's manga out the backdoor, and start doing some real animation!

well aside from episodes 133 and 134 (total action packed... didnt care even if the anime was kinda half-@$$ed) the first 20 episodes was wshat really made the series interesting. total sadness from an anime which is rarely and hard to do since alot of scenarios have been overplayed or overused. but still the first 20 episodes did not make up for the long and continuous delays in the series. seriously if the team took out all the summarizing of the previous shows and long and boring stand still the series would have at least captivated a larger audience.

Personally I like Naruto (Kakashi is my favorite char). Yes it is a bit heavy on flashbacks but what bugs me more though is the recap at the beginning of each episode is usually too long.

Also are tenketsu the same as pressure points (it looks that way to me but I could be wrong)?

I do enjoy the series, but, I think they have a tendency to throw in way too many filler episodes and some episodes are pretty much flashbacks we have seem countless times already. I like how they portray the combat, but, I am a little dismayed by the fact that they seem to be moving away from the more tactical minded combat to more of the uber-powered "I just kicked you so hard you flew into the mountain and collapsed it upon you, yet, you just stood back up with only a few scratches" type combat. I like most of the characters in it, but, the funny thing is my favorite characters are all supporting characters we don't see much, like Shikimaru. All in all, I do enjoy watching it because it does it's job of entertaining me, but, I do see a trend appearing that supports some of the things that this anime's detracters are saying.

Naruto suits my taste almost perfectly. The first chapter was the best I've ever watched. After that it slowed down a bit, but the exams gradually built up to be better and better. I don't have as much problem with the flashbacks as other people here, maybe I'm more patient. The only time it got annoying was during the 3rd Hokages fight when I was saying to myself out loud "somebody just die already".

Jiraya lifted the after-exam eps quite a bit, and I will definitely continue to watch it with pleasure. I don't get the complaint about bad drawing. It could be better but it's certainly comparable with any other fight/drama series I've watched.
