I'm not too sure if this is a result of recent updates or even a bug as this is somewhat rare. Sometimes when people post at the same time, the person who made it first will be listed as the last poster ("Last Post: day, time by someone") and not the person whose post appears last.
It's kind of hard for me to show an example since other people will post and will eventially change who the last poster was. One of the threads ( http://www.hongfire.com/forum/showthread.php?t=28184 ) had this a few days ago... it was locked by a mod but someone else posted at the same time and his post appeared after the mod's. But that person's post ended up getting deleted so once again, I can't link an example.

You're not the only one. That has happened to me several times recently while playing the Underground games. I always hit the "Preview Post" button to see if anyone's posted before me, and when they have I will modify my answer to fit their question...but when I post, mine shows up before theirs! I have to delete my post and post again when that happens.

That is a timming problem related to the system time on the servers. If the time on the two servers is out of sync, then that will happen

Okay, thanks for clarifying that. I thought that might be the case but I don't remember having that problem in the past, I've only noticed it a few times recently (like in the last few days or so).

Hmm... Somehow hongfire is damn slow at the moment. Takes me a min 10 sec to load the front page.
and I would like the redirection scripts to be back.

I noticed that we got a fifth admin. But AFAI see, he has not been to active.
So may I ask about some information/introduction of rootmanage?

he is the dude that installs and maintains the servers. He doesn't admin the forum, just keeps the servers from crapping out

I see. So his account was just made visible and added to the group of admins, I guess :D

There seems to be a bug related to post count. Read the comments in this photo here (http://www.hongfire.com/cg/showphoto.php/photo/39026/cat/all/limit/last1), then check out that same person's profile (http://www.hongfire.com/forum/member.php?u=243313). Pay attention to the post count and the title ("Otaku Oh!"? What does that mean???).

That's a mighty lot of posts! How did that title get there...? It certainly doesn't seem random... "Otaku Oh!" is "Otaku King!".
By the way, the unicode bug in the Location box is still there. It was mentioned HERE (http://www.hongfire.com/forum/showthread.php?p=819383#post819383) but since that thread got closed I don't know if anyone saw it.

I wonder what would happen if they gave rep to somebody ...
Rep Market Crash on Black Sunday 2006
That would depend on how the rep system is when the rep is given. The mods have been toying with it like crazy but so far, the current version seems post independent though.

^_^;, I just deleted my post when I realized the mistake. Oh well, thanks for the polite help, although I realized that, too.

I wonder if "Otaku Oh!" is a special title you get once you make it past a certain number of posts... like "Senior Member" or "Master Member". A member title the mods haven't told us about yet?

Well, that's the best theory I've heard so far. :p The only problem is that Saskia doesn't really have four billion posts and should still be a junior member! ^^;; I wonder if anyone else has noticed other members with a similar bug?

Considering the recent suggestion of every 10000 posts = 1 more point in rep-giving ability, I calculate Saskia's repy power to be ...
... ooooh ... somewhere in the vague, estimated neighborhood of a lot. o_o
(For those who just have to know the real value [like me], it comes out to 429,496.7295 points of rep-giving power. Which equates ~1718 reputations awarded by an administrator.)
Looks like I had no reason to delete that original reply after all. ^_^

What is this, "Promote random member to Otaku Oh! Day"? :P
I want to be an "Otaku Oh!"
The post count and title for both Saskia and thevoid are the same. Coincidence?
my guess is that 4000 posts
gives you a new title
4294967295 is the maximum
amount of posts

I think this has something to do with the new cache system we installed. I am currently looking into this. Sorry my responds has been abit slow. My main computer kinda blow up. Using laptop atm.. (ok no more off topics)
Will try to fix the post count problem asap pls report here if you notice anymore bugs. Thanks.

Good job! Should make sense, as that number is one less than 2^32 since 0 counts as a number.
Hong, any word on the unicode in the location box problem?

I think either some of your posts got deleted or a thread in which you posted in got moved to the Underground (or any other place where posts don't count) or deleted. Happens all the time.

I turned it off because I was fed up with the whole thing when someone directly IM me and more or less said the admins screwed up the rep system

Nope, after a set amount of post count, you get to custom make your title to whatever you want it to be.
Saskia could've filled in anything she wanted there. She just happened to fill in 'Otaku Oh'.
It's a feature on vBulletin forums.

I don't think it's enabled in hf... Only admins and moderators can change their title names.
So Is the rep system gone forever or..?

apparently i posted something but i can't remember and now it's been deleted.
when searching through pics, sometimes it shows the end of the slide show, but if u go back one pic, it shows another new pic, and u can click on it, and the slide show goes on, then like... 15 pics later it happens again, u click back one pic, and u can click forewards two again...
