I just applied for a job in customer service with Cablevision... it'll mean lots of sitting around in front of a computer with a headset on while telling people how to fix their cable box, internet, etc. and i applied for the graveyard shift (5:30pm-2:00am) so i doubt i'll be dealing with that many people.

Crazywater, not sure how one actually becomes TV-deprived.... I have my Tv on constantly... though not always watching it. I just need background noise too. That and being an insomniac means you have the choice of Tv, games, or books when you're up at 4 in the morning and bored out of your mind.

Brad, i hear the Wii will actually have compatibility with the Gamecube controller so that might make life easier for a lot of people. Being an old gamer myself i started on the crappy Sega Master System controller that was a rectangle with two buttons and a D-pad (similar to NES actually)... so if you turn the Wii remote sideways you actually have a similar setup which will be great if they make some ports of older games and allow for the 90 degree clockwise rotation setup on the joystick so you can have that nostalgic feeling.

Reading is an excellent way to absorb knowledge of the English language...and besides: No commercials! :D

Writing a story is much better though. Taking and expanding your own imagination and creating characters to go on adventures, through jungles, aztec ruins, or even you found a portal to another dimension in your own backyard...it's amazing what you can come up with just by reading, and brainstorming!

I think more people should just start writing. Not only would it give their imagination a work out, it will also improve their reading, writing and verbal skills as well. Sure, your stories may suck, but continue doing it, and you'll become quite good at it.

Wow...that's harsh and retarded...plus a good waste of time and bandwidth. Well, you can always disconnect the wiring for the internet when you're not using it so that he can't.

sadly there is only one place with net in the house and as you can see this guy with 25 years old says to me he needs to work on the comp and i have to leave and no net for me, day 6 i wasnt even online for 1 minut while his crap of uneversity work geting a bonus of porn download it seems while i said "you cant download you hear me??!!" now when go see the trafic being used on this 2 last days i get day 5 -1200mb consumed day 6 - 534mb consumed, i get an heart atack after seeing this because only 6 days passed! and more 24 days around yet until i reach the other month.. but no worries im only feeling depressed because i will see a large bill at end of month, thats the future im preventing thanks to an idiot who doesnt listen to me.

Sadly i cant smoke or i would take one just to cool myself.
