It is very sad that the man died. Surrounded passengers captured him. This also shows that not all Japanese are perverted like people easy tend to say.

I guess but it's a much bigger problem in Japan then other countries, i mean the article says that the police reported more then 2,000 incidents than the previous year =/.

It would definitely be bad if it was some kind of blackmail / setup type thing... Of course if that were the case he shouldn't have tried to run, but in a pressure situation it's easy to do the wrong thing. Now that I think about it too, in a real blackmail event there would probably be a guy accomplice somewhere to back up the girl when she accuses the victim. Hmm... I wonder what the japanese groper's association will have to say about this?

i would think other countries should since groping is a problem everywhere. It makes me wonder how much of it is due to sexual disfunction (in this case frotteurism) or if the guy was just a pervert.

Oh one time when I was in Italy there was this guy that was hussling EVERYBODY. That crap has really gotten bad. Although, when the Italian girls did it, I was okay with it.....;3

I don't find it cute when a girl farts. NOT AT ALL lol. Not to say that all guys are typically aggressive perverts who violate women all the time, it just happens more often with men than with women. I know of the stories of female teachers using their students as sex objects, and i'm sure there are plenty of women who do nasty things on a train, but you have to remember that as guys our "switch" is turned on almost all the time. It can even be difficult for priests to control their sexual urges. In this particular case, gender does play a significant role. Is a girl going to molest a guy, or just bring herself to his attention so that they can get to know each other and ultimately give in to her urges? Most likely the latter is true. Why is there trains for "women only"? There are some sick dudes out there, thats why! I an not a feminist. I can't stand anyone who tries to force their particular view down my throat. I'm a realist, thats all.

I refuse to believe that women have better control than men over their sexual hormones. When women are put in sexual situations, their "switch" also turn on, and that causes men to turn their "switch" on. A lot of men usually turn their "switch" on the instant they see a glamorous body, which is what I believe causes gropings. I mean really, I don't think women get turned on by looking at flat chests and asses, while our only weapon is sealed downwards.

The problem is is that you are packed in the train. If someone touches you its very hard to determine the actual person who did it. Thats why women are encouraged to actualy grab hold of the hand that did it and raise it up in the air and yell out "CHIKAN!"(train groper). Some are also using a technique where they bring needles along with them and poke the hand that groped them. Then it makes it obvious cause the guy's hand's bleeding.

Well how about this. If someone grabs you and you're okay with it, then cool. If not, sic the cops on them. I anticipate guys objecting to getting grabbed by cute girls rather less than girls objecting to being grabbed by slobbering maniacs, but the fundamental principle of consent is itself gender neutral.

1.)Well if you're a grouper, be sure to target femals in a VERY crowded area where there is no one that can pass through you and be sure that there are no males near you that can grab and beat you to a pulp:D
2.) If you're the one being grouped, be sure to have you stun gun/pepper spray/sharp object ready to stun, spray or stab all around you:D
