I seeeeeeeeeeeeeeeriously doubt there'll be a US ver of this. I'll change my belief when i see *ANY* recent Tales game come out in the US. Supposedly there's to be one next year sometime but again, i'm not holding my breath.

PS: I hate you guys! NOBODY GAVE ME A DRINK! :(

Shirakani i think is possible to have US version because Tales of Legendia will have english version... I see movies with English dub, but i prefer japanese because US dub is bad VERYYYYYYYY BAD.

Well, Symphonia was actually out only for the GC in US....I don't know if you're talking about all systems or just PS2 = =

i dunno how you think Kamura.....but in my place here it almost make no difference by buying the game or buy an empty DVD-r cause the price is almost the same.......... but i`ll get the cover by buying the game instead of download the game......

...Im thinking whthter to get this or not..or wait till next week to head to Singapore to get an original copy. Im most worried about Mega Multimedia I specifically asked them to reserve a copy for me..and they said itll take 5 days to arrive. The thing is some other shops have the asian release to aday on their shelves and I wonder whther to cancel the deal with MM is the right thing to do.

Well, i know there's announcements of an eng ver for Legendia, but i'm still damn skeptical about it, so i'll believe it when i see it on shelves. I also hope to hell the port remains quality and if they're going to dub it, at least do all the map chatter too.

Yeah...Tales of Legendia has been scheduled for release in February 2006 for about half a year now. And they recently announced Tales of Phantasia's release on GBA. I've caught wind of a re-release of Tales of Destiny on PSX and a release of Tales of Eternia on PSP. I'm not sure about those but I've heard. Seems Namco Japan is giving us another chance. If these sell well then Tales of the Abyss, Tales of Rebirth, Tales of Symphonia (PS2) and Tales of Destiny 2 might be released. Also, Tales of the Tempest is being released on DS in Japan sometime next year. It's from the Rebirth Studio Division.

It might not be fully compatible with harddrives. Not all games work on harddrives.

Tales of Legendia is coming out for sure. If an official statement has been made, a company can't (more like will never) retract their statements so there really shouldn't be any doubts about the release here. The other games like ToD2 and TotA, Namco never agreed to release it outside Japan (not yet anyways). Although TotA will mostlikely, 98% will have a english release seeing that Tales of games have been getting more popular after Symphonia.

I personally wanted Tales of Rebirth to come out but seeing that it's 2D (which I love in Tales games), it probably won't be released here for some time. Sony USA is really anal about graphics. :/

You need a HDLoader 0.7c patched to run in MDMA 0 mode to run ToA properly, otherwise you'll hit certain spots that just crash and can not continue. Some music and sound issues remains even with this but it's all on the overworld map mode. Not a big loss considering the Overworld mode is pretty ass-tastic anyway so it can't really get any worse without the right sound LOL.

well i don't have a guide
if you watch many raw you'll manage without problem through many parts on the story
and if you're a fan of tales games , the battle system will be easy to master ...
all the new are explained either by gai ou the others people of your team

and if you're really lost there is a faq on game faqs that explain almpost everything (92 pages )

For anyone who is curious Tales of Legendia is planned to release on 02/01/2006, Tales of Symphonia was only released on Gamecube in the US because Nintendo of America bought the rights to it, so unless Namco pays a heft sum to get them back, or does their own work to translate and create a US version it wont release on PS2 in america. Tales of the Abyss is also scheduled to be released in the US sometime in the future. Now Tales of Destiny II and Tales of Rebith are not planned on coming to America...ever...many think it's because Namco feels that sales for 2d games in America are crap so it wouldn't be worth it.

That being said....if someone could please torrent Tales of Rebirth I will forever be indebted to you.

Uhh...afaik none of the recent Tales series will be released in English because Sony USA pissed Namco off. But then again, they could have reconciled with each other. Where did you get your piece of information?

Well everywhere it says that Tales of Legendia is coming out 02.01.2006, the info about the releasing/not releasing of the others I got from the boards on gamefaqs, so it could just be someones speculation.

is anyone else having a problem unzipping this file?
I keep getting errors like "there is not enough space on hard disk"
when actually i have more than enough room to unzip the iso image.
Anyway... i'm trying to download it again to see if maybe the file was corrupted... perhaps that was it.

No proof anywhere saying that. That TBA on GFAQs/GameSpot is mostly BS. No site have reported Namco announcing translating the game.

What we guesses is that Namco will look at the sales for ToL first before they decide to bring ToA over or not.

That seems rather inconsistent when you consider that FF7 International has a torrent here...

And it's exactly the same thing as US version ported for a Japanese release rather than PS2 Tales of Symphonia which has additions to it.

Edit: Oops NM, I just realized that that torrent only has a "4th disc" of bonus or whatever.

I agree too. Eng Dub is very 'cold', doesn't have the same 'feeling' that japanese voice, sorry. And my english is very bad too. :(

You need to burn onto a DVD, and use a modded PS2 or a swap disc. PS2 emulators run at half speed at best and are very unreliable for games that demand more.

there is an undub version of this game, meaning a fan removed the english voices from the english game, and replace them with the original japanese voices. dont know if that is still available or not
