Let me start off by saying, im old enough too have watched the original transformes when it was on and nothing will ever top that.
With that out of the way, I wanna know what is your favorate new transformers out of the new wave dating back too Beast Wars. Mine would be Energon and Beastwars

Beastwars was the next best, but all the rest dont just feel right to me. I still need to find some of the original episodes and ones of beastwars. I got a question for some odd reason Prime sounds exactly the same in all the shows except probably the original(i cant remember his voice from back then) but all the others he sounds exactly the same which is awesome, he has one of the best leader voices ever.

I agree with Cyress8. I too have seen the original on tv. The latest iterations of the francise, to me, seem to be trying too hard. CG can be a great tool if used in moderation. The CG in Energon and the others (forgot their names) seems forced and fake.

Yeah I lied about energon, just trying too get a few people who watched the new show to post :p . To me the only show remake of an 80s show thats good is Beastwars and the new ninja turtle but thats just me.
These new transformers really are trying to damn hard and should stick to straight 2-d graphics or nothing at all.

Beast Wars was the series that got me interested in Transformers again. Unfortunately the pathetic Beast Machines pretty much killed the momentum and pretty much all of the series afterwards have failed to stir up much interest from me. Same thing toy-wise. The latter G2 toys had my attention but it wasn't until the Beast Wars toys that I went on a temporary toy buying binge. While the latest series Cybertron has a few cool designs, the toys are marred by the stupid key gimmick.

Well, have any of you seen the Japanese version of Energon and Cybertron? They are actually pretty good.

Beast Wars was definitely the best of the new group. I also like Beast Machines, but I can see why some people would hate it. I just ignored the idea that it was a followup to Beast Wars and just took it for what it was on its own and thought it was pretty damn cool.
All of these new shows from Japan (Energon, Armada, etc.) are absolute garbage. Unwatchable in my eyes. Like people have already said, they're just trying too hard (proper characterization has been thrown out the window in favor of flashy designs and tons of action....one of the glaring weaknesses of most of the anime that tends to be licenced here). It's flashy and well designed dog-doo.
Oh, and just to clarify, the crappy nature of the recent shows has absolutely nothing to do with Beast Machines's failings. Beast Wars and Beast Machines were Canadian productions (absolutely love most of Mainframes' work)...all the new ones are Japanese. Other than the "Transformer" brand tacked on, they're completely unrelated. Come to think of it, that's probably another thing that completely pisses me off about the new shows...they seem to take place in a completely different universe from the G1/Beast Wars/Beast Machines universe. The only thing they seem to have in common with the originals is the transforming robot concept and the names...other than that, nothing. Absolute garbage.

I liked Beast Wars. Too bad they killed Dinobot at the end. He was a wicked character. I also like how they referred to the original series etc.. like Ravage showing up and Starscream's spark.
Any of you ever seen the real oldschool movie as well?

Any of you ever seen the real oldschool movie as well?TF the Movie? One of the biggest trash I ever watched but it's not too bad I guess. It's funny how lots of classic characters die right off at the beginning of movie. Funny stuff.

Oh man...saw the movie in the theater yeeeaaars ago. I just about cried when Optimus kicked the bucket and Ironhide getting blasted in the face, point blank, totally blew me away ("Not Ironhide, too!! NOOOOOO!!!!"). It was definitely one of the coolest things out in 1986...too bad it doesn't age that well. Kind of funny seeing as how the movie is supposed to take place in 2005 (I want my hoverboard!). Good times, good times.

Yeah the reason why all the voices in the later transformer series sound the same as the one's from Beat Wars is because they are the same. The voice for Optimus Prime/Primal is Gary Chalk btw, and the voice for Megatron is David Kaye. Yeah I have to agree with everyone here that Beast Wars was the only transformer series that did it for me, not so much Beast Machines though. Like the animation for it was pretty good, but the story wasn't what you'd call a masterpiece. Btw the original Dinobot's death was probably the best ep of all time, not only was it sad but it showed that even a old dog has some new tricks up his sleave. Especially when Dinobot trashed all the Preds and
