I'm quite surprised that noone started a thread about this game...I just finished it today and I must say that it was worth its money. It's a very short game (eleven hours on the first run at normal difficult setting), nor it's particularly innovative, but the story and the graphics make of it a pretty unique experience.
Gameplay wise, Killer 7 isn't very far from Doom. You go around killing creatures that once were human solving simple puzzles, watching disturbing cutscenes and playing with blood and strange visions.
Unfortunately this system is oneof the game's main drawbacks, as:
* all puzzles in normal mode are showed on the map with an hint on what needs to be done though there's no real need for it (I mean, you know that one of your characters is a thief and there's a padlock over a door...mhmmm...what to do?)
* aiming your gun is pretty difficult and sometimes the program won't register what you though were direct hits to the enemies weak points
* the game is pretty repetitive
The story is pretty complicated and sometimes really f*cked up, involving politics, children organs sold in the blackmarket, false angels and a lot of killing. Although there might be games with more blood and exploding limbs, cutscenes and the general outlook of the game make of it one of the most disturbing games I've ever played.
I've discussed with many friends about the game and basically you either love or hate this game, both for its gameplay and cutscene...they're really slow and you have to play the whole game to get a hold of the whole story.
I liked the game, and although I don't think it deserves 8s or 9s like many sites and magazine gave it, it's still an enjoyable game.
