[PC eng/jap] Guilty Gear XX# reload [hf-neko]

Hf-Neko's first release :3. GGXX# reload for PC. I'll be adding more here later once I figure out how >__< (also first torrent I ever uploaded, hope I didn't mess up). If you need help, check the insanely large Guilty gear thread in the games section.

Japanese version (the only version) patched with english patch. Translates all text including storymode. (actually, that was the only thing that wasn't in english already...) You can find instructions to revert back to japanese mode in case you want to in the /patches folder, not very complicated.

This release is requires no installation, just a folder, double click ggxx.exe and enjoy. You might want to set/check the controls with config.exe first though.

ditto, already have this but nice to know its up here for the masses. in order to truly enjoy this game u need a great converter(before i got a converter i played on keyboard and lemme tell u those ji combos can be murder on ur fingers). for those of u who dont already have a converter i highly recommend the psx to usb game adapter from radioshack, its only around 10 bucks and it works great with psx/2 controllers. also last gg casuals meet i went to i had pc gg#r setup on laptop along with two radioshack converters, it worked pretty well with all arcadesticks and controllers that day. also lookin forward to kof packs, think im missing kof2k.....dunno lemme double check. btw anybody have #r korean version.

Is the converter working for everyone?

I have an x-series convertor, ps2 -> usb, but whenever it is plugged into my computer, it makes it so that config doesn't come up, or so that ggxx.exe won't start up.

aynone having the problem where the config isnt saving when you press apply then ok? Also when I'm at the menu and I click arcade for example, it takes me back to the first screen after the video where I have to press start.

edit: Nvm i figured it out, I was pressing x instead of o on my controller @_@ weirdiness.

I had that problem with config once. I think you have to make sure that you are not uploading and playing at the same time (hopefully not mistaken).

gillian: well it's only about 100 megs bigger, I could have zipped it and brought it down to about 500. The iso is slightly compressed like always, so it will naturally be smaller. This isn't compressed nor is it an iso because some people get heart attacks from trying to install japanese games in iso format. And even if your not one of those people, it's still a convenience, well worth a slightly bigger download.

lbenhong: Yup, it's beacuse you are seeding. ACtually, I wish azureus would do that, I accidentally changed the config file only realizing shortly afterward that I just ruined the file I was seeding. THankfully, I got a replacement from another seeder.

ditto u should really get a good ps or arcade stick adaptor for games like this, unless u want to go totally nuts on ur keyboard. i don't think u'll get very far on keyboard, don't think it can read multiple key inputs or at least certain key inputs when pressed in conjunction with others. read the past posts of this thread and u'll notice that i and others have recommended some pretty cheap and reliable adaptors. think the lowest went for like around 10 bucks or so.

Guilty Gear XX/: Midnight Carnival (Guilty Gear XX Slash) should be coming out this fall/winter to the arcades, so I would expect a console port at least a half year after the arcade release. The only difference is A.B.A. will be a playable chsracter.

If any of you guys want a half-decent experience playing fighting games on the PC, do not use keyboards. Get a USB converter for PS2 controllers.

Also, do not button macro. Macro is just plain stupid, and that memory feature should never be used.

Ok, coz someone in this thread requested it. Here's the english patch and config patch. And to whoever said this is a port of the xbox ver, wrong, it's a port of the ps2 ver ;)

The english text is already in the game, all the patch does is flip a switch and voila, full eng.

You have no Direct 3D card. At least, whenever my PC can't detect mine, that error comes up for GGXX.

My audio is acting funny. Like different songs are skipping together. For instance, at Character select it will play the music it usually plays, then skip to the menu music, then skip back. It does this everywhere with different music. Anyone know why? I'm sure it wasn't doing this before ToT

OK. I downloaded the Story Mode English patch. I've been trying to use it on my ggxx.exe file, but everytime, it says "ggxx.exe not found or access restricted". So, I tried extracting the patch elsewhere and directing the program to the Guilty Gear XX directory. Still didn't work. I tried placing the patch in the directory itself, but the patch didn't even run while it was in the directory, but ran when it was outside of the directory. What the heck is going on here?

I got this game a long time ago [on a other site], but it's good to kno that people here plays it & yea, the patches on this game makes it all english,
& doing combos on the keyboard in that hard, it's kinda ezy if ur use to kawaks :D & the psx emulator, I setted mine up like the playstation setup, so it'll be ezier to use for me, but I also set it to mah gamepad, so I can play either keyboard or gamepad, if I'm gonna play against some friends, :D

Now, I'm really pissed of though.
I tried to apply the english patches, said they'd already been applied. Figures, since I downloaded this game an age ago...Went on the config, changed the controls to my usual GG (q,a,w,s as the attacks, e,d,r,f as the shoulders, up, down, left and right as...up down left right). I change player 2 to conincide with this, so no controls were the same. All good so far.
Then I clicked apply, clicked okay, started up. I was a bit irritated at the fact I couldn't manually delete the save data (any help? I prefer getting the most out of a game, not letting others do it for me), it was protected.
Ah well...Then I started trying to negotiate the menu. Oh crap. No idea what happened. Pressed Esc, checked config->controls. They'd reverted to their original. Now, I know this can't have anything to do with the previous installation, as I always have my regular config. So what's happening? I know this was fine last time, but can anyone tell me how to STOP the config reverting the control once I've set them...
Hope someone'll help.

EDIT~Figured it out, God, I'm an idiot. It wouldn't change because it was seeding. So I won't be seeding while I'm playing, but that doesn't mean I won't seed. Well...I'll be playing a lot...Ah well, I'll seed on request/when I feel like it.

lol, careful with seeding it. Because your not suppose to change the files and seed it because then your not seeding the original download. Not that it really matters, bt has a way to work things out, but you won't be able to seed the last final pieces that contain the changed files. Ideally, your suppose to copy everything and leave the original intact. But whatever :P.

no, some WinXp users actually have problems with music (Robo Ky's distorted track is in GGX mode... who would use that mode anyway?).

Yes this is one of those arcade-style that i would like it goes into PC version...XD. Command move need quite a while to master 'em...now get used of all those commands...freely execute any of 'em ...XD...

Justice's Gamma Ray is...wow~awesome...especially when ourself execute this move...XD

if you do burst without being in some kind of stun (guard/hit) you get the gold one which gives you 100% tension if it hits.

haha, justice's gamma ray is amazing because... lol, he's justice. all his moves are killers.

i suggest getting the usb-psx converter from radioshack. it'll make a lot of combos a lot easier on your keyboard and fingers(anything with tiger-knee, all of slayers BDCs, anything with ji, playing jam in general)

U want REAL challenge then use normal mode. U want to whipp those god-like-enemy u better rethink using SP mode, EX mode or just use both of it. Anything would b the same except u r very skillful enough to pull off some serious dmg combos.

By the way, i kinda cant get used to play wif a joystick coz using keyboard r the most fastest way to pull off some combos (well..4, 5 hits isnt hurt to enemy huh ?...XD).

N hell yea Justice Gamma Ray rulez over other characters. Rumors also said dat Justice is Dizzy's mom..huh dat's kinda odd ya ?..XD

Oh by the way, using both of those mode(or what they called something like Gold Mode..) is good to practice some heavy-dmg combos example from me iz Jam..(pull off 60% of HP without land to ground..) should be easier

The only problem of using SP/EX mode is, the difference in speed and attacks which the regular versions obviously do not have. If you want to practice combos, do so with regular versions in training mode. In my opinion, those special modes are purely for fun or just beating survival mode.

Key to all powerfull combos is FRC for sure. They're very tough in use on PC, but if could domesticate them... U're boss :D

Yea agreed. need alot of practice to get used of its controls n' moves on keyboards since Dizzy n' Justice r the easiest cha to make some deadly combos. If only I-no boss mode is selectable...dat would b a whole new exp to play...XD.

I began playing as Potemkin when I fought his Gold on Survival (Hit him pretty much constantly...for 99 secs...He didn't die).
I used to just play as Sol, and spam with Grand Viper, but then I branched out, used Ky a bit, used Ex Sol in other ways, and got awesome. >.>.
I also use the powerhouse that is Potemkin now...

This is a more unusual request, but I'm looking for files from an old GGXX#R PC torrent that was up here in 2004. It had the game broken into four RAR files, and you actually had to run a batch file after extracting them all to assemble the cddataxx.bin files.

I'm looking for those files because they came with a program that disassembled the packs and made the BIN files, but in the process they used a batch file, and extracted all the WAV and OGG files for all the voice clips in the game. I lost my backup of that version of the installer, and I've got a group of people interested in redubbing my PC version of the game for comedic effect. All the torrents I can find now either have the already installed directory, or are an ISO of the disc that doesn't show me the bare audio files outside of the BINs, which I can't figure out how to open as I don't remember the old program name made tomake the BIN files via command prompt.

Stop freaking out. BitTorrent works by everyone who has any pieces of the toreent that anyone else doesn't being made to upload them. If you are connected and someone else starts the torrent, they are going to connect to you and download some of the pieces you have. You are a partial seed until someone with the missing pieces shows up allowing everyone to complete the torrent. You shouldn't even be using BitTorrent if you have a problem with uploading what you have, and grumbling that you are currently only uploading, while no seeds are available, isn't going to make people feel sorry for you to start seeding.

If her Mac is a G5, from my knowledge thats a intel based Mac, so just use bootcamp, search it up, it allows an intel based Mac use windows and such applications on it.

it should work, if that fails, you could always try and get VirtualPC for MAC.

Thats my best bet to get it to work on MAC based computers.

Hello all...this is the 1st time i talk to you... i played the GGX2reload game at an internet cafe and i desided to take it via USB at my laptop. i can play it with no probs... in the folder of the game i can see the exe, the config, 2 folders music and movie, the read me file and 7other files. 12 files there are all....in game i have the save and when i enter the game i get a load but in the folder of ggx2 at the program files i cant see a save data or something like that....what is happening ? where can i find the save file...? any ideas :)ty a lot...

More than a year away from HF and I feel a little generous... Well, I won't be staying anyway, but I'll help seed for a short time. :~_~:

Anyway, a couple files I have differ from the torrent's, so the torrent might not complete and may become stuck at 99.8%.

The files that won't complete would most likely be:

ggxx.exe <--just take the ggxx.exe.bak and use that instead.
cddata00.bin
savedata.dat
al.mpeg
hf-neko.nfo <--meh, you don't need that.

So I'm gonna upload those two missing files to mediafire or megaupload later tonight...
