Just wondered what all you folks thought of my series at 3D abstracts, which are so incredibely easy to make I feel ashamed at calling them art.

nice work, no offence but I'm starting to get tired of this kind of pics since there are like millons like them.
My tip would be to try to make abstract pics with a "real" motive, like a human body, an animal, or anything that just dosn't feel like you've puted some polygons together randomly and added some effects.

Haha, yeah, I want to start doing people, but 3D rendering is no walk around the park. I like abstracts because they look neat, but they're easy to make. I'm gonna start doing humans pretty soon.

good to hear, I know what your talking about. I've tried with modeling and never got the hang of it, but recently I've been wanting to try again. Maybe I'll try again soon and we'll see what comes ^^

What program did you use to create these?

I used Cinema 4D for the renders, then spiced them up in Photoshop.

I'd have to agree with puKKa on this one. Normally I like those 3D abstract renders but I don't know... now it just seems like it's 3D cliche. Used to visit Shadowness a lot but after awhile, just looking at abstracts really gets boring. Like puKKa said, maybe try getting some motive into your artwork, even if you don't model a human body, animal or something, try giving your abstracts some "soul". Other than that, keep up the good work 'cause the pictures are technically very good.

what? I always says that 3d Render is a Great work, although you are not try to blend it with another object which makes the render look's interesting.
try to put some objects beside it, or try to mix it with another picture of abstract.
that would makes the pics looks interesting.

Of course I don't really use these renders by themselves. I use a lot of renders in my signatures and blend them and shizzle yo, as well as my other backgrounds that are for real. These are just to showcase the renders themselves.
