I have installed Winny, everything is working i can even add Japanese signs without changing language of windows, but there is one problem!

When i add the Japanese name, the signs view but the last few characters are cut off :S

Normal
ねとるんもん

Cut off
ねとるん

like that, is there a way to fix that?

Except for changing language settings :(

One question, how could you view the japanese character if you haven't changed your regional setting to japanese.

I use Microsoft Applocale, it first showed ??? but now shows the signs, but the problem is that it cuts off, it does search for the cut-off signs though.

Are you not using xp to use Applocale?... that could be the source of your problem. You could check the language inside WinNY.

I use Windows XP sp2, Winny itself is Japanese.

I don't really know, if you're facing this problem in WinNY, chances are running any program would give you the same effect. Try rebooting the language, that might work.

App Locale isn't almighty, in fact, it's buggy like hell, e.g. it is common for it not to process a part of filename after certain diacritical character, so blame applocale and change regional settings.

Except for changing language settings :(Forget it, don't use it, if you don't want to change your settings, you'll never get it to work.

Share does work for me without using Microsoft Applocale, is there a Winny version like that?

Btw, which one are you using. Is it this one ttp://www.geocities.jp/restroll/Winny2p_b726_000.zip

If you're having trouble with this, then your problem is coming from your system. could be a virus infection, which is not uncommon to happen. Do a full virus scan. If that doesn't help, you're only left with the option of reinstalling your language pack. What the heck! you don't even want to change your regional setting. xDDD

you are better off using Share. Winny is so outdated, but since Share has limited exposure not many people are using it, so most of the stuff I can find in winny cannot be found in Share... Get the word out if you really wanna help lol :P

get nodes from here

http://nyar.jpn.org/index.php

nodes are ESSENTIAL

without them, it is the same as having no tracker or peers on a torrent.

or the torrent itself. :p
