Did ya ever visited the website about Kogenta or heard from him? I discovered the website some months ago... I'll never forget this little guy! :(

Kogenta was a little cat who was brutally murdered by Jun Matsubara, a 27-year-old unemployed man from Kure, Hiroshima Prefecture. Now ya say "sad, but...?" Wait untill ya hear how he did it>
On a BBS of the, in Japan, famous Ni channel website the man had the idea to start a 'LIVE kitten festival', and talked with all ppl on it what he should do next, and posted pics of what he did. The complete log can be found on the website (just read how the others there enjoyed it and crap- unbelieveable).
First he cut off the tail of the kitten, then his ears, did other unbelievable stuff and finally killed the with a wire (hung it, but it took a while untill it died... on it's neck the man hugn a CD with "I'm a defeatism" written on it)- all that over hours!!

The creator of the website was really be able to achieve some changes in Japan with his website. He also started a big petition to change the animal right protection laws. In his own words "I was furious when I found out this news and didn

Is this for real? I didn't take a very thorough look at the page but it kinda seems like an even worse joke than the bonsai kitten website.

Coherent English text here:

people who do things like that need to chew a cactus while sitting on red hot razor sharp spikes coated in salt, lemon juice and alcohol while getting shot and bit by a dog at the same time.

I hear that, What this guy did is unforgivable, the things he did should be done to him (the things that can be done).

This guy should be in hell After what he did

They should tie that guy to the back of a car and drag his body across a field of fire and then poke his eyes out and sow his lips together then shoot his arms and legs a million times. Then lock him up forever but don't give him death penalty so he can suffer for the rest of his life. And don't even give him a taste of freedom or the sight of the outside. That guy has no heart.

It makes me sad and depresses me to see that there's still some f*king lunatics with this kind of mentality nowdays... :(

Don'T forget what the other people wrote:

[quote=kawa of the BBS, another cat slaughter]Fry cat.
Put in the cat into oil of 30 degrees.
It went on o rampage ; so I covered the cat with the metal net.
It became little bit husky. I could see it was in tears.
My aim was the temperature of oil as 250 degrees.
The cat still struggled. The temperature of oil is point to 60 degrees.
When it became 90 degrees, the state of the cat had change.
It raised a death cry and it was cramping the legs.
Something white liquid from eyes.
Then cat

Highest punishment for animal abuse still isn't enough for this asshole.
I had urgest to puke by the mere thought of this torture >.< literaly
This guy deserves the same punishment he gave to the cat.

I swear if I met that guy his life line would be reduced to mere seconds.

A similar thing happened in Canada. Some guys, I believe, skinned a cat and video tapped it. Then released the video calling it art.

Meh, that's horrible ... >.<

Not only the cruelty of perpetrator, but also the other persons enjoying it. =.=

people who do things like that need to chew a cactus while sitting on red hot razor sharp spikes coated in salt, lemon juice and alcohol while getting shot and bit by a dog at the same time. :mad:Wow ... are you trying to beat that guy in cruelty? :p But, yeah, I understand the outcry. Still, I think it's better to put ones energies in teaching people more compassion for animals. Harsher laws may help, but have only limited effect in this regard.

wtf I really do wonder why they moved my thread into "garbage and rants" GEEZ!! damnI don't think the mod who moved it thought your thread garbage, but a bit of a rant, because it deals with a specific case. Maybe it would have stayed in the general section, when it were a more general discussion about animal rights, I dunno ...

The sad part is that this won't be the last time he does something like this. He probably started at a young age and came from a home where domestic violence was the norm.
Given the fact that he admittedly didn't feel satisfied after he tortured and killed the cat, his violent tendicies will just escalate. Unless he gets professional mental care and has the willingness to change his attitude he will most likely get bored and shift his violence elsewhere, towards other people in the form of rape or murder. Punishment only serves to suppress the root cause of the violence and is not a permanent fix.
These people are usually cowards, and seek to achieve a form of importance by having a form of "power" over someone who is weaker than they are. In the case of an animal abuser, the animals cannot speak, and thus cannot tell who abused them.
I do believe that the Japanese need to inact stricter punishment on animal abusers, but that only removes them from society, it does nothing towards solving the root of the problem. People like this have been sanitized towards violence. They have no feelings and their hearts are hardened; an unfortunate side affect of home violence, violence in school, violence in the media, and all around violene in society.
This person should be kept under a watchful eye and psychiatric care. I'm not saying that it's a 100% sure thing that he will committ another crime but the chances are good that he will.

I haven't had te courage to read the whole log, but I can say what he did is really horrible, I can't really understand how you can take pleasure with torturing an animal (or a human being), but I also think doing the same torture to the guy who did it won't fix anything, no matter what he did.
As KidSteel said, it would give better results to teach about compassion, to make people realize that animal feel as much as we do, and that we shouldn't be abusing them just because we feel superior, we should be helping them because we feel superior.
Hundreds of cases of animal cruelty exist, and no matter how many of those animal abusers you deep fry, there won't be a real change in their actions, the only thing that will create a reasonable change in animal cruelty will be teaching about their rights and conmpassion towards them.

Hope you don't mind, but I sort off disagree with letting him live.
As Toyota says, he is very likely to commit more crimes when he'll be free.
I've talked about this with another friend, no agreement, perhaps I am just to sadistic when it comes to hurting animals.

But I'd say he should get death punishment.
Life is for those who will use that life to repent for their sins, change themselves.
But about this guy I sincerely doubt any changes will be made, and repending will be very unlikely.

But perhaps my anger would blind me to thinking he could change, but I think that death punishment is very good for cases as this.

Death punishment nah I think he should be torture for as long as possible.Death penalty would end the misery and pain he deserves to experiance for what he has done.I guess I'm the same way as you Xebi.People like that don't deserve sympathy.

Meh, I can understand that you are upset about this and all ... I'm upset myself. Also, I agree that there is a thoughtless cruelty in this guy that will be hard to remove (but not impossible).

Still, I think killing or torturing people for their deeds (how detestable they may be) doesn't solve anything.

This reminds me very much of the death penalty-thread (http://www.hongfire.com/forum/showthread.php?t=11233), so I better do not start to state my arguments here, because all has been said there, what can possibly be said about this topic. And we don't want to revert this into a mirror-thread of that monstrum of a thread, ne? :p

What I wanted to say with my post above is, that it is better to teach people more understanding and compassion for animals, than waste your time with revenge on morons like that.
It already begins with children: they are often cruel to animals, it is their enviroment has to form them to responsible adults. (Wow, this sounds astonishingly corny, but I don't know how to say it otherwise :p)

EDIT: Actually ... after thinking over my post once more, I must say that it is pretty hypocritical, what I wrote. :p I mean ... just some hours ago I ate a piece of a dead cow, wore the skin of a slaughtered pig on my feet and took medication probably some lab-rats (or maybe even cats ... but do they deserve more compassion, because they are cute ... of course not) died in a horrible fashion that lets Kogenta's murder look like child's play. So I better start with myself before preaching animal's paradise on earth to other people ... >.>
