Post something wise you have learnt, so ther members can take heed and enrich thier lives forevermore ^_^

proverbs, tips, whatever ^^

Slice of wisdom:

"don't just go for the 'what'... always seek the 'why'."

This is useful as a general rule in life, or just when you are trying to solve a problem in life....(and also in the practical-yet-mundane setting of trying to study for an exam...:p)

peace.

Some wise words from toyota :)

Vengeance is a water vessel with a hole. It carries nothing but the promise of emptiness.

A thorn defends the rose. It harms only those who would steal the blossom from the plant.

Repay injury with justice and forgiveness, but kindness always with kindness.

What is cowardliness but the body's wisdom of its weakness ...What is bravery but the body's wisdom of its strength. The coward and the hero march together within every man. So to call one man coward and another brave merely serves to indicate the possibilities of their achieving the opposite.

"love means never having to say that you are sorry"

my interpretation of this quote is that if you love someone, you would never purposely hurt them. (if you hurt them unintentionally, you should apologize.)

my personal motto is.

"try to live life without any regrets"

Well, I've done a lot of thinking about this and I've concluded that real relationships, whether friends or lovers, stand on three legs. Trust, respect and affection. Examine your relationships. If any of these aren't all there, or they don't go both ways, someone is being used. Real relationships should last a lifetime and are more precious than anything. The other kind go away after the victim gets used up or fed up. To have a friend/lover you have to be one. Don't be a user and don't let yourself get used. And remember that nobody is perfect. Forgive your friends the little things and help them fix the big ones. And nobody is a mind reader. Speak up once in a while if you want them to know.

Just a few things to think about.

"The road to Hell is paved with good intentions" - Proverb.

I may not be religious (Atheist), but you don't have to believe in God to follow most of the Ten Commandments. Just a bit of common sense will do.

Liquor before beer, you're in the clear...
Beer before liquor, never sicker...

Don't try to experiment with that one...I have on several occasions and it hasn't been proven wrong yet...

I've heard this before but slightly different.
Liquor before beer, nothing to fear
Beer before liquor, throw up quicker

I've got some wise words in my siggy, but my favorites are:

The only human wisdom worth having is the knowledge that one is ignorant.

Sniper, you seem awfully cynical/fatalist. Not that that's a bad thing, just an observation. Do you need a hug? :o :p

I need a weapon...

How can one NOT be pessimistic in this age? Its horrible, with all the disasters, and killings, and the people in america trying to blow iraq off the map... FOR SHAME. Its a puny country, the president doesnt need to send the FULL WRATH OF AMERICA towards it... Dont you think that the reason people in iraq are opposing American invasion, because they really are INVADING? So, lets all gather hands, and shoot the united states of america. Most of the roots of corruption in the world come from that place...
