I just found this very nifty tool which allows you to make *every* window transparent (at least if you have Win2k or WinXP) - you can even pick an individual degree of transparency from 10%-90% for every app!
On top of that, it can make your taskbar transparent as well :D
Here's a screenshot of my desktop proving it:

Since it's only a very tiny program (41kb as zip), I'll attach it. All you have to do is to extract it to a safe location (e.g. your "Program files" folder) and then run it. In the settings screen that appears then, check the "Auto-load" and the "Auto-Remember" option (the first two). You can also set the taskbar transparency here, just click on the bar. Then, click on "Save" to close the settings window. Now, whenever you right-click on a window, you'll get a little pop-up where you can set a transparency from 10%-90% or disable it again. (You can also set the pop-up to right-click+shift or something else in the settings dialog.)
That's it already. Now have fun! :D
