Hey everyone! I figured I could take a stand against threads like HOHO and ecchi and create a respectable place to hang out. Here's just a few rules borrowed from the Chatterbox Bar in GaiaOnline that seem to fit well here:

Rules:
01. Please Do Not SPAM
----SPAM = Stupid Pointless And Meaningless posts
[]Spam: Posting an emoticon, blank post or actions such as *sip* over and over without attempt to converse is spam and will be dealt with as such.
02. Please try to keep the quotes to a reasonable level.
03. Do Not cyber in the Pub
04: Do not encourage any mention of attempting suicide in real life. This is a bannable offence on gaia (I'm sure HongFire doesn't like it either).
05. If you are going to RP fight. TURN YOUR GOD MODE OFF! ITS ANNOYING AND UNREALISTIC.
06. Enjoy your stay and be polite

NOTE: if you completely disagree with my opening statement about HOHO, bite me (hugs? riiight), but about ecchi, they're good people, too bad their thread gets locked constantly

Hm, I had a look at the ChatterBox Bar at GaiaOnline and I must say that it is the most spammy thread I've ever seen. :p We already have something similar, it's called the hoho-thread (http://www.hongfire.com/forum/showthread.php?t=16253). :p:D

Maybe you can give us some hints what this thread is about? :)

Hey, thanks for inquiring! Well, yes its a roleplay thread, and also yes, I've seen hoho and that's just plain spam. This is an active roleplay thread and should be like that on Gaia too (but it's turned into a sticky, which is both good and bad). So basically this is a bar to hang around, and when it gets more popular, I'll start hiring for people to play barkeeps and cooks and such, just like Gaia's CBB. But for now, hang around and start helping this thread to become HongFire's unique hangout and Gaia's CBB equal (to the point where this is it's sister thread...kinda) :o Hope I don't sound too overzealous about this whole thing.

Gaia is like about 90% spam, and most of it is in chatterbox.
heh, chatterbox is the reason why I left that place, most people don't have a gringe of compasion, inteligence, basic sense >.< or atleast not towards me.
People go offtopic, go hold their own conversations, hijack, >.< *shivers*

heh well, I'm not to fond of chatterbox, but I hope this won't turn into anything like it, therefore, something good ^-^ (opposite;))

General Chat is for good conversations discussions, so it'd be nice (not something that turns from 1 point to the other)

I don't bump, in all my time on gaia, I haven't even bumped once, not even in the chatterbox

Thx Xebi. That's why I created this thread. Honestly, Chatterbox is all spam, but it's a great thread in a sense. So this one is in its honor, but it will be a bit more...uh...organized and I hope for its survival. Plus, I would like for people to help me in a choice for a topic every once in a while, and that can't happen until this thread somewhat "launches". Thx again for the promote (or bump).

Oh, no offense n00b, I completely agree that Gaia is a buy-in-bulk box of spam. My goal is to have an organized chatterbox here. HongFire needs a big entity of a thread better than hoho (no offense is meant because I myself hang around hoho, but there's gotta be something better) :rolleyes:

honestly there is always something better.
that's why i'm here in Hongfire. i'm not stranded by the so called "Otaku's"
of anime and gaming. etc etc etc .. just annoyed at the misleading facts people give and recieve.

hmm...first, the stupid time stamp glitch screwed up your post :D and second...umm...i dont really know any new RPGs i would like, but i could talk about what this site provides, anime, but that would be repetitive because there's so many threads that do that. hmm...we could talk about other games, like Halo 2 and its upcoming map and cheat/glitch update im waiting for :)

Oh it's that show on Spike TV. The Ultimate Fighter. Tonight was the season finale where the two remaining contestants battled it out to see who would win a contract with UFC(Ultimate Fighting Championships). It was an awesome match. Fists came out flying, blood was shed, the two fighters fought a war for 3x5 minute rounds. In the end it was such a good and close fight that both of them were awarded contracts to the UFC.

I would like to extend on the quote in RandomOrangeCola. I got negrep just because someone disagreed with the title of this thread. It wasn't anything bad, just that the "offendee" disagreed with it. The title was "Guro and Loli, with some UFC" and was stating which one is worse, guro or loli? It would've been a good conversation, and someone mentioned Ultimate Fighting Championship and I decided to throw that in just for the heck of it. Now this "offendee" is S&T Kawaii Love and she edited her post (this is post #10) so she can vent her unwanted anger on whatever she was angry at. Can anyone tell me why she was angry? I don't see it... :D
