supposedly the full title of the Ultraman movie is "Ultraman Revival", but its just plain and simply being called "Ultraman". watch the trailer and listen to the announcer though: he says "ULTRAMEN". don't know when it'll be on dvd but should be pretty soon. it didn't do too well in theaters.

I've actually heard it referred to as Ultraman The Next. I'm hoping to catch the US premiere in LA on June 25.

The name of the film, as being marketed in America is "Ultraman The Next", and while it didn't do well in the box office, a sequel is currently being made called "Ultraman The Next: Requiem" or something along those lines. The film itself was a critical success, but kids didn't go see it due to it being more 'mature' then most Ultraman films tend to be. Kind of like how Nexus got cancelled, with fifteen eps to go, because children weren't watching it. A f'ing brilliant show too.

It's really disappointing to hear that Nexus was cancelled for a reason like that. I had heard that the whole point behind the Nexus concept was to make it a more mature series. They also had some really interesting creature designs.

Unfortunately, it's early timeslot probably played a heavy role in it's demise. The target demographic won't watch, because they assume that since it's on Saturday morning with the rest of the kid's shows, it's not worth it. So they miss out, the kids get bored, and no one is happy. Hence, Ultraman Max's early release in the beginning of July. Strange, Kamen Rider Hibiki is doing something completely out of the norm for Rider series, but it's still going pretty strong. In case you want to know where to dl subbed versions of both shows, feel free to drop me a pm.
