LOL.
I was surfing yahoo auctions jp a lot recently.
And wanted to ask you guys what service you prefer to get games from over there? Shopping Mall Japan or Akibado? What's best? Maybe others?
This is tough question for me cause i can't pay by paypal. So ideal for me will be to pay directly online or by US money order of some kind.

well i have my own account with yahoo japan course you need a friend in japan for that to work properly ;)
but for those who don't well i'd recommend Rinkya ( dot com ) they accept plastic directly no
need to go through " ripoff-pal " to pay for transactions and they use an easy to browse
direct web interface with yahoo japan auctions making it pretty easy to use and find
what your looking for ! even if you don't know much or any japanese ... :D

When looking through these auction deputy sites, it is important to keep in mind each will charge commission and other surcharges for auctions won. Compare and think about the typical prices of items you will buy, each service may be cheaper for certain price ranges.

I am using SMJ, and I think SMJ allows you to use credit card, so no need to get ripped by Paypal.

As for ease of use, SMJ looks unprofessional but the level of service is great, with pretty responsive emails and discussion forum. Also it has embedded translation service for yahoo Japan.

But yeah, I've got quite a lot of stuff being stored by SMJ ATM, gonna ship them out soon.

One thing I would advise about Yahoo Japan is the anti-sniping feature which is used quite a lot by autobidders and is very annoying. When a bid is placed 5 minutes or less prior to the end of the auction, the auction time is automatically extended to 8 minutes remaining. I have had a few instances when auto bidders kept putting in bids in the last minutes, extending the auction for an hour or so past its original ending time.
