Anyone here heard of the game called Red Ninja: End Of Honor? Not many people talk about it for some reason. Anyways it looks to be a promising game as the weapon the main character uses is a wire which can be used to hang people, slice them in half or used as a rope to swing or do a spiderman style rope decent :p .

From what I've seen, the game somewhat reminds me of the "Tenchu" series... But my interests waned after learning that it's a American game.

Ninja + American = Usually a bad combo

I guess we really won't know until actually playing the game, though.

On the official site it said the story was written by Shinsuke Sato (The Princess Blade), a feature film writer/director from Japan. So it not totally american made.

O, sorry. Scratch what I said, then... It's not that I have biases against American games. I just get worried with American media in general dealing with "Asian" things.

I like your avatar, by the way. Is it Rikimaru?

Yeah I understand where your coming from about americans dealing with asian things as I am chinese. And yeah my avatar is Rikimaru :) . Got a couple more tenchu 3 character gifs like Ayame, Tatsumaru, etc... They in the attachment if you want it ;)

the game look really interesting, but i must say, that the story from the third tenchu was quite dissapointing for me. The second's story was so good, after tetsumaru died though, the series never look the same. There a fourth game in the mix. the release is supposed to be in february, but I doubt it. since ive heard little, i think there still far from finishing.

I though the story from 3 was good. Ah well that just my opinion. If you want info regarding the forth game go to tenchu checkpoint.
Back to topic. I still dont get why there isnt much people talking about this game. I talk to friends about it and they are like "Huh????" . Even on gamefaqs forum no one is talking about it cept for like 2 threads in there which only have 2 or 3 post in it.

Multiplayer was fun in the last Tenchu installment, but I wish it had more stages.

Me and my friends always resorted to sniping each other with explosive arrows, though. :D

I've heard of it and am looking forward to it. The graphics and animations look a little bleh, but the wire type weapon the main character uses looks extremely cool and innovative. It's basically a thin wire that reacts to tension. You can hook it on to a guy, then run around him to cut him in half, or pull him down, or hang him upside down so you can beat the crap out of him.

The tenchu also looks good. I was extremely dissapointed by the third one too, but this new one looks to fix most of the problems I had with the first one. The story looks a bit better, more cohesive and more realistic at any rate, without guys being dead one moment and alive the next. Rikimaru won't even be in it. Plus you can now kill two guys at once. I think it at least has a chance of being really good. Any word on if they'll be attaching a map maker, like tenchu 2?

It's on my list to check out before buying.
But what kind of game is this? Stealth or more action based?

This is what the main character looks like.

The game is a mixture of both stealth and action. You can pretty much choose a stealth approach and take it easy on the levels or just charge in there like a raging bull ;)

Well, it might be fun. tell me what it's like if you play it first.

Man I'm abit conflicted right now. The Jap PS2 version it out and I'm thinking should I import that or wait for the Xbox version. Wish I knew if there is gonna be dual language dialogue for the Xbox version cause I rather hear the Japanese voices rather than the American voices.

March issue of Play magazine (which I trust) gave it only a 6.5/10

Haven't checked Gamespot or IGN yet...

I'll probably just end up passing it for now, since I've already invested $400+ for the PSP. :( (Btw, everybody seems to be slamming the new Tenchu. Dunno why.)

Cause Rikimaru is not in it  . But for me, I will still get Tenchu: Fatal Shadows, why, cause its a Tenchu game :p . Why did Play Magazine give it 6.5/10

I personally like Ayame a lot better than Rikimaru. She was perhaps the best character in the last installment (including bosses).

Has anyone found a torrent for the Japanese PS2 version yet. I can't seem to find it.

In my view, this game sucks in all respects. One of the most terrible thing in this game is the camera angel. Well, I am not going to disturb everyone but...try it yourself and see :-)
