Simpsons is probably the worst right now, just because it used to be so good but has totally sold out and become completely idiotic. Family Guy is really good, but I think South Park is kinda better. Battlestar Galactica (the new one of course) is awesome. I thought Babylon 5 and Farscape were also awesome. You may notice the common thread here is an ongoing storyline in all of them. Taping World Poker Tour right now, I've gotten into that a lot recently. There was an old Canadian show called "The Beachcombers" that was kinda neat because it was filmed in my hometown. And, umm, Probe. Really old show with Parker Stevenson that I liked because it was made by Isaac Asimov. Penn and Teller's Bullshit deserves mention, does a great job of debunking all the nonsense out there. I haven't really liked any sitcoms since Seinfeld, all the characters are too rich and smug and annoying. One last show, King of the Hill. Has some really great moments, I have a feeling the good writers from Simpsons jumped ship to that one.

I've never really gotten into 24 but I have a lot of respect for it. Seems like a lot of people are trying to copy it without success so that's interesting :) Really liked Arrested Development but as usual Fox screws around with the schedule so much it's impossible to find. No wonder their shows have such a hard time getting ratings! Did the same thing with Futurama I remember. The Office is another good one. As for worst stuff I'll say Fox News. Any show where you know exactly what the commentators are going to say ahead of time is not good.

The best TV shows I've seen are House M.D., Cold Case Files and The First 48. I enjoy watching House M.D. because I actually learn some things from it, seeing as it IS based on the drama and in-betweens in hospitals. I enjoy Cold Case Files and The First 48 because they are the real thing, in which I was first exposed to human cruelty through watching such homicide and cold case investigations/documentaries. This in turn has made me an aware citizen who can believe that people can kill total strangers and whatnot (I used to be so very naive).

The worst TV shows in my opinion are Reno 911, some cartoons (specifically those on Comedy Central) and "sex shows." They are pointless, really silly and immoral to me in most cases...just TV show directors' ideas gone wild >_<

Yeah House is really putting ER to shame in my opinion. Kind of weird, I read in Scientific American how some researchers on brain chips in the 70's said they should be stuck in black people to stop riots, and one of their students was Michael Crichton who made ER. Learn something new every day. I like Amazing Race normally but this current season is pretty lame. The family thing could have worked but they're just sticking to the US for some reason. Maybe fuel prices are too high? Airlines going broke so they're not paying for international travel? Hmm...

Hmm...Fav Show: Arrested Development, Scrubs, I enjoy comedy a lot, Family Guy, and the one good drama show The West Wing which is getting dropped (damn time slot change screwed it all up).

Bad Shows: Medium (I keep remembering the Little Red Ridinghood ep. and I just think to myself. Did that really happened?). And as usual, all reality tv shows. Swan was the most offending reality tv show ever!!! Seen one ep. and was appalled, how can they do that.

I think Amazing Race is good enough to not belong in the same category as all the other reality shows. For one thing the production values must be enormous, travelling all over the world. And it's much more entertaining when there aren't any psychopaths. Garbage like big brother requires a maniac or two, as the only appeal is lies in watching other people suffer. There's a local show called "The Collector" which is really starting to appeal to me as well. They have a great website where the devil reviews his favorite books (The DaVinci Code) and movies (Hotel Rwanda).

Worst tv shows any reality show especially survivor. That show is a joke. If they wanted to make a real survivor show they would have dropped the contestants off in the middle of Ellesemere Island away from the National Park http://www.canadianparks.com/nunavut/ellesnp/index.htm
If you thought a desert was bad imagine a place where negative 20 celius is considered an average temperature. Now have the contestants survive for a month atleast 200 km from any other people with just a knife. Now that is how survivor should have been like.

Our first survival challenge is to memorize all 2 million books written by the great leader. Winner gets to live another day, loser... doesn't. But yeah Babylon 5 was awesome. I couldn't get over casting the guy from 90210 in Jeremiah though.

The worst would have to be all the soapies like "Home and Away" and other game shows like "the price is right". No more need be said.

The best....well I'd have to get back to you a bit later, nothing strikes me as good enough to go out of my way to watch apart from the new series of Doctor Who and even that's starting to lose it's charm ever since they changed the actor from Christopher Eccleston to the new one.

Yeah the new doctor who is kind of neat... It's funny, but once upon a time canadian involvement in a tv show would be the kiss of death. I find myself really enjoying tons of stuff made in Canada now, from Battlestar Galactica to Blade to, Snakes on a Plane! ;) I'm thinking I might actually get back into Survivor though. This premise of the teams being different races has enormous potential, that a bunch of activist types are up in arms against it has me in favour :) So what are the races anyway, anyone know? Probably white, black, hispanic, maybe asian. If this works, they could have a follow up with the teams being split along religious lines. Evangelicals, Sunnis, Catholics, Shias and Atheists. That would be cool!

One of the best TV shows i have ever seen is "Stresas" ( eng. - stress ). It is one of Lithuania best TV shows. There you have to answer quite simply questions, but always you are anoying with smth. For example, old man is kissing you while you are answering... It's 30min full of laughing. The main price for the winner is a car^^

On the other hand, i don't like "British Pimp My Ride". I mean, what are they trying to prove... -.- geez, no comments. Cya o/

I think my new favorite show (or is that my favorite new show) is "Poker After Dark" on NBC. They get everything right. The announcer knows when to shut up and the players don't have to worry about an audience butting in and annoying them. Plus when they feel talkative they just walk over and have a little chat with Shania. Since it's one match spread out over an entire week, there's no rush either. They've even done a terrific job picking top notch players to compete, very enjoyable. Something new I hate? Umm, American Idol always sucks massively.

Wasn't it Colbert not the daily show who got a bridge named after him? Although apparently the country broke out into mass riots right around the time that was supposed to happen, heh heh... They should get Ben Edlund to write the Tek Jansen adventures, he does an awesome job on Venture Brothers after all. Speaking of which, Venture is probably my favorite thing on tv at the moment. Was so happy to hear they're making more episodes :D Deal or no Deal is my new most hated though. Completely retarded.

Life On Mars Its about a Chief Inspector from 2006, who has an accident and some how ends up in 1973 as a DI. He doesn't know whether hes in a coma back in time or insane. Its funny, sad, dramatic, romantic and action packed, its been a long time since I've seen a drama this deep and well acted. The great thing about it is he has to deal with the conflicting views of his colleagues about whatever case there on because of there 1970's mind set. It also shows the brutality of the police force in 1973.

Dexter is just amazing. Used to like heroes but after suffering through the second season had to give up. It takes a special kind of show to actually get better over time, and you can tell with Heroes they didn't expect to last more than one season so there was nothing left in the can so to speak. Dexter on the other hand shows that it's actually possible to take something off the printed page and do justice to it on the screen. Why couldn't that happen with Watchmen or The Golden Compass?! At first I sort of ignored Supernatural as a yaoi version of Buffy but it's actually turning out to be quite cool. Glad I was wrong in my initial analysis :) Anything that Ben Edlund is involved with is gold after all.
