But i think it would take a while. I recently started to catalogue my OST's to start making torrents for sharing, ive now got 3x220GB HDD with nothing but OST's and OP/ED songs.

But keep collecting :)

I only get anime ost when the anime con comes to my town in May It really hard to find anime osts (only a few stores carry anime osts) where i live.

hehhe ive a total of 32 220GB drives full of anime, manga and OST's. I got them off a mate who recently got married and had to give them up. I'm still going through them, but going on the rough guide he gave me theres atleast 6 drives full of OST's and anime music, the rest are all anime hanime and manga/hmanga.

I'm still working my way through them, but im not in any rush :)

Wow, that's got to be a huge collection, i have about 20GB in 128kbps files.

Djisas, if i have it i'll upload it once ive finished going through and cataloging them. I've found a few of the drives are broken and im sending them to a data recovery specialist to try and recover the data. It's taking time to go through them all though, since i only get an hour or so a day for them.

But if i find it i'll upload it. If its recent (anywhere in the past 3 years) then forget it. All the stuff on these drives is pre-2001. Since thats when he stopped being a serious collector.

And gods theres loads of raws :( i could start a new fansubing group with the amount of raws ive got heheh

I have... 80+ GB of anime soundtracks and 120+GB of Japanese Music.
I made two small anime ost pack torrents a while ago. They're only a small portion of
my collection (which is partly stored away on DVDs, archival Hard Drives, and actual CDs).

I can't compare with The Hermit though. ^_^;

wow veniogenesis is the king! lol with his 80 gigs + i only have... 37 gigs and some of them are in 320kb ya i had 50 gigs of jpop but then i was like what the hell is wrong with me! and deleted all the ones that i didn't listen too so now i only have about 30 gigs of it =/ but 80 gigs of ost? damn how the heck do u listen 2 it all i mean i've barely listend 2 1/3 my collection

I have 11.7 gigs of OSTs currently on my HD.. with a much bigger collection on my backup HD and scattered across my numerous CDs.. one of these days I've gotta get either a bigger HD or switch to DVDs.. as managing over a terabyte of data (about 3/4 of it anime related stuff) gets pretty tricky when you have that many cds..

I only have about 14 cd's full of anime mp3's, but I have a 4 foot stack of purchased anime cds.
As for your request...I've never even seen a SM R ost. sorry.
Since were doing rare ost requests, has anyone seen a tree of palme ost? (I like the dark, moody stuff).

Ive got Saber Marionette J osts but no M ones sorry thought I could have helped. Lets see currently atm I have approx 100gb of osts on the computer and at least another 100gb more 'backed up' on dvd. *sigh* but I always need more hehehe. There is 2 guys that I see (only rarley) on dc hubs who have alot. One has over 400gb and the other has 800gb combined with VGM. *double sigh* one day my collection will be like thiers

I have about 800 gigs of unique anime ost album (means no dups) in lame insane, around 450 gigs looseless data, but most of them are the same as the albums in the 320 kbps portion. Looking forward to trade with u guys if possible. I doubt Hermit has 1.2 TB of anime osts tho... maybe you can show me a list?

*hiccups* I suppose you download everything you see. I don't do that... well, usually. I downloaded Meine Liebe OSTs a few days ago - nobody knows why I did that; the music in the anime is not special or something. -____- Most of the OSTs I have are from anime I have seen, so I guess 40 Gigs is too much for a person who watches anime for three years. >_<

Hmm i managed to colect 30gb of anime and 1.5gb of Ayu j-pop (more like J-trance) in only 6 months of internet, and still growing my colection...
Like Tenran i only colect osts from animes ive seen, and like i sayd once i know exactly what i have, and i often listen some osts, i create compilations and then burn the into audio cd, im actualy working on my 8th compilation...

I recently beated my direct rival, the last time I checked he had 26Gb of randomly dld OSTs, and my recent mark is 27.8Gb of good and HQ selected anime osts (not all the crap I can get my hands into) and 1.08GB of Ayu (since this aint anime OSTs im not including it on the same folder).

Well well well ,Anime & Game OST only (randome collection er :30 Gb ) (I quit collecting them now :P ).Selected collection : 4 and 5 start Albums and Singles about Anime & Games :396 total ;) 403 PVs ,and countless full albums and Singles from Japan (And still growing growing ) . (I even dont bother to count how much GB ;) just burn them to CDs and throw them here to seeding .... ) .Like my torrents :Naruto Ending Theme :D

i have a pretty big collection myself, nearly 110 dvdrs of music, so that takes it to an amount of about 440-450 gigs under a conservative estimation. note however that almost all of this music (anime, classical, video games, movie soundtracks, etc) are all lossless (APE, FLAC)

Well, I can't really say, other than a few IY OSTs (because the producer releases CCCDs) and a few my friend pulled down, that I have even 1 GB.
However, I probably have most people beat here as far as far as Actual Anime CDs are concerned. At current count (since I haven't finished cataloging and ripping for my iPod (nice gift from my family in California) I have 723 discs logged in my database. There are probably a good 50 or 60 more that I didn't get logged.
I have ALL the Saber Marionette, Slayers, Blue Seed, Sazan Eyes, Maze (actually missing 1), Aa! Megamisama, Knight Ramunes & 40, Tenchi Muyo!(over 100 of them), Love Hina, Bakuretsu Hunters, Galaxy Fraulein Yuna, Hayashibara, Okui, Chisa, X Japan, and Do As Infinity (though I may have missed anything recent).
Once I finish my logging and ripping project (and is it ever a project, since 4000 more US domestic albums are involved, and I enter the information in whatever the original language is... Kanji can be a real pain!), I may start providing some stuff on BT... but it'll be in FLAC/ALAC or AAC...

Newer stuff is hard to get ahold of especially with the proliferation of CCCDs, which I refuse to buy... I may just start downloading more stuff... Heard there's TONS of Naruto stuff out there.

BTW... Over 200 gigs of mp3 music files?!? I don't have time to look for and store all that... I'm too busy d/ling and saving anime fansubs... I have over 2.1TBs on nearly 2000 CDRs and 200 DVD-Rs. Now I just have to watch all of it ^_^

I have about 20GB Anime OSTs. I only collected what I was interseted in. And when I want to watch a new Anime, I will get its OST or OP/ED first. I believe that you can get the feelings about the anime from its music.

My collection is not huge, because what I collected are mostly APEs or FLACs or something similar.

I'm now study in university and in my university there is an FTP Server Group only for Anime and Game musics. We can get them at a speed of 300KB/s(Its speed is limited manually). And the OSTs on it is nearly 0.98 TB....

Freaked me out, since the Tenchi Stuff never got logged, so when somebody asked me a couple of years ago what Tenchi stuff I had (since I had ALL the Japanese albums, except the audio cassette -- still trying to get that, as it's a Pioneer Animation Club members only item), I sat down and typed it all out -- That's Tenchi and Pretty Samy stuff and the couple of seiyuu albums tied to the series. I was shocked. And the latest album came out in the last couple of months. Sad to say, I don't like the new music much. Lacks a lot that the earlier stuff had... kind'a wished the person who did the "Dual" stuff had been rehired for this.

BTW, it's the GXP and new OVA material that pushed it over 100. Especially since every first press edition of the new OVA comes with a new audio CD. I should have the final OVA 3 DVD in a couple of days (though Kajishima has hinted that he may do a special, somewhat like the 7th OVA episode, Night Before the Carnival, was).
