Ren'ai Maker 2 Translation Project

I am attempting to translate the interface of Ren'ai Maker 2 from Enterbrain.
As i don't speak japanese i will use Babel fish so it will be a little crappy but i think it will be better than nothing.
If anybody is already doing it or is interested in helping, please contact me ^^

Yeah, I've noticed! ^^
I've created my first two scenes, and my first three choices.
The event list (you know, the one with the three pages, where you choose to write a message and making a girl appear and stuff), it would be great if that list was in english. I'd put that in high priority if I were you. ;)

Thanks for your attempting to translate it, even if only a little ^-^. I'd love to try out your patch but, unfortunatly, I cant get ahold of the program itself ^-^'. If that's what the link on the first page is for, the link is broken now :(. Please, if either you or someone else on this forum could help me get ahold of a torrent or something, I'd be very thankful- I'm trying to make a complication CD of all or most of of Enterbain's programs (at least all but RPG Maker XP, since it's been relased in the US... darn it...now i gotta pay money :P)! ...I'm gonna go cry now. I haven't seen this ANYWHERE. This is coming from a guy who used to rent the PlayStation RPG Maker repeatedly, and used to mess with RPG Maker 2000. A legitimate English RPG Maker XP... must find some place that still has it...

It would seem that this page (and the project?) has died... Grr... Well, one of these two guys has the program, so I'm gonna attempt to nab it SOMEhow from one of them (if you guys haven't already- IF you haven't, plz leave it to me, so that we don't storm these guys with the same request. I'll post a torrent if I can get ahold of it, from them or otherwise, perhaps from the dude who apparently posted a torrent of it long ago?)

Too bad- this looks to be a FANTASTIC maker program! Wonder why it seems to be so hard to get- google yields nothing but people whining about where to get it, that and links to a defunct(?) website which had (apparently) ALL of Enterbrain's maker programs, save for the RARE Screensaver Maker, RPG Maker 97 & 98, and the 3D CG Maker... yeah, I know, I'd never heard of those either 'til recently... The defunct site was fighter-universe.com btw...

(lol, I sound like a fanboy, or just some really weird guy, no? Sry, lol, I'm just excited cuz I've been hunting for this for forever and have missed it TWICE in the years since its japanese release- one torrent on a spainish website died and the guy who posted it VANISHED from the community altogether, and one website that had this and nearly EVERY other Enterbrain "Maker" application in existance for download and died LITERALLY a week before I found it >_<*. I've attempted to translate this myself but it was off the chinese version. I got most of the strings translated but it keeps on showing the original characters in the editor while on my Resource Hacker its edited =/

I hope someone will. I would do it if I could, and since I used this program just for testing, I easily made both choices and characters even though it was Japanese.

If it was in English, anyone could probably make a great Renai game. And this has nicer graphics and choices compared to the English alternative; Renpy.

A while back I tried to translate this program with "res hack" I got like 10% of the way done with it, but then I ran into a road block, I couldn't access all the code for most of the other menus (which was a real poblem) But I'm trying another "easier/temporary" alternative. I'm working on photoshopping the event menus in english. I'll post them as I complete them. If anyone wishes to help, or has any clue on how to access the main code of the renai program, I'd appreciate it greatly

Exactly- same problem here through Pirate Bay and ISOHunt both. Seems a lot of people make it as far as 90.7% and then it all dies out. Any chance someone who has this 100% could reseed this for a day or two?:neko:

I know this is a bit of a necro, but I'm working on translating the editor portion of the program (since the run-time portion is, effectively, complete).

at post time, I have about 10-15 [edit: closer to 50] of the various dialog windows translated, and a quick skim through the whole thing reveals that there are a couple repeated windows in the program (there's at least five different dialog windows that repeat), so it's gonna be a while. I'm using a machine translator to get an approximation of what each option and button is supposed to do, but the actual text being used in the translation is NOT what's being spat out by the little goldfish.

EDIT: i managed somehow to open the source code YAY )=D. I have been looking around and translated somethings =S Its quite hard since there are tiny spaces for words X_X ex. "seconds" is limited to one simbol =S so i have to put "S" also i cant understand some methods DX ill need the Renai to check what are =S.

Enyway Ill be translating some and if you are interested ill release it =D

Wow. I'm impressed that there's still some sparks left in the fire- never did get the full program to download from the torrent (only 98.7% and it stuck that way for a full month). If you ever got the installer uploaded, Querty, I think you'll have sucessfully helped to bring this thing to life again (this program in general effectively seems something of a holy grail when it comes to Enterbain's game makers). Good work, give us the word when you (or anyone else) have managed to upload the installer! My data modifying skills are a bit lacking, but I'll do what I can as soon as I've gotten ahold of the actual, complete files ;)

Ok, I know this is a dreaded DOUBLE POST but here me out.

1) I am willing to help translate Ren'ai 2 if someone has a program or some l33t skills in hacking the program that enables the changing of the Jap into English (basically the program used to help the original poster).

2) I am currently seeding it for all those hungry for this wonderful program.
