Yes, you still can, because bots and sites may not have been updated, but both series have been dropped by the primary groups known to be subbing them (ayu/ANBU+Lunar/S-C) for Madlax, and (ANBU+Keep) for S7, yes there's some other groups who might stil be doing one or the other (Pantsu-kudasai anyone?) but I am a little dubious about quality of those unknowns'.

i personally don't care for madlax, but i do enjoy samurai 7. its better that they r licensed. its cuz i'm a fanatic about collecting dvds, anime and live action. for those worried about not watching the eps for these shows its guaranteed that they will continue being subbed. most groups don't give a shit, except for the good ones lol. find out which groups are doing what at anidb.net

lol as rabbit said, i dont really care for madlax either. as for sam 7, its highly likely that anime-kraze will continue to sub it so no problems really.

Look at it from the bright side: now you can get it in good quality for a payable amount and even subbed in the forseable future (Japanese dvds have no subs and a hardly what would be considered payable with only 1-2 eps for 35-55$).
And what better way to make sure the companies keep making good stuff than buy it.

That being said I admit it can be irritating to not be able to see more of something good for a while, but that is how the world works, you cannot get stuff for free forever. Think of fansubs as extremely long trailers or something.
And if nothing got licensed the firms couldn't get money to make more anime as the japanese homemarket isn't earning enough to support the industry on it's own anymore. So no use in crying about it, if it weren't so they couldn't make new stuff and none of us would want that.
